LED (Light Emitting Diode) Lighting Systems

NOTE: This section relates to LED Backlights and Flat Panel Lighting units.  For all other LED lighting products please visit the OPT-LED section of the website.

Please excuse the reversal of the LED acronym position in the header.  Most people are more familiar with the term LED than light emitting diode so it was given priority in the title.  LED lighting system have become the most come lighting source for machine vision applications that require a small illumination field.  They are generally too expensive when the application requires a large illumination field although becoming more affordable.

Phoenix Imaging offers several different lines of LED products.  Most are manufactured by Phoenix Imaging or are designed and fabricated to Phoenix Imaging specifications.  However we do offer several lines by leading manufacturers to insure that you can find the right product to meet your project requirements. The LED units are designed to fit in to tight locations that other units can not.  The units are constructed of a number of  LED's (either discreet or surface mount) arranged in compact shapes.  The lighting systems can be purchased in a wide range of shapes and sizes to meet the application requirements of just about any machine vision project.

Phoenix - Opto Photo Techniques (Phoenix-OPT)

Phoenix Imaging's name for special configuration LED products is Phoenix-OPT.  This category offers many lighting products with specific working arrangements such as working distances or lighting orientations that make the vision application easier.  For example, the rings lights are offered with LED orientations of 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90°.  The rings lights are also available in multiple diameters such as 50 mm, 70 mm, 90 mm, 120 mm, 150 mm, and 180 mm.  This allows the user to select the LED light with the proper working distance (focus distance for the center of the lighting distribution) for their specific machine vision application.

High Output LED lighting for space critical applications

The LED family consist of LED backlight panels, bar lights, domes (single or multi-colored), Light Lines, On-axis illuminators, ring lights and spot lights.  All of the units provide excellent uniformity in the illumination pattern.

The LED product categories are:

3000 series - LED Spotlights (single LED source)

4100 series - LED Backlights (8mm thin, high density lights in formed metal enclosure, painted steel or stainless steel)

4400 series - LED Spotlights (45 mm, multiple LED sources in sealed aluminum housing, spot or narrow flood configurations)

4450 series - LED Spotlights (30 mm, multiple LED sources in sealed aluminum housing, spot or narrow flood configurations)

4500 series - LED Backlights (12 mm thin, high density lights in sealed machined anodized aluminum enclosure with nano-change connector)

4505 series - LED Backlights (8 mm thin, high density lights in sealed machined anodized aluminum enclosure with attached cable)
