Powerful New Image Processor for PPT Vision Software

Phoenix Imaging and PPT Vision have teamed up to provide high performance machine vision solutions using the PPT Vision VPM & CPM development tools.  The PVS-40 and PVS-80 image processors are designed for optimum performance in critical inspection applications.  The  PVS-40 is an Intel i3 (dual core) based solution and the PVS-80 is an Intel i7 (quad core & six core) based solution for higher speed applications.  Both platforms are based on industrial computers with passive backplanes and the latest PICMG single board computer technology.  The model performance is determined by the Intel CPU selection.  The basic configuration includes 4 GB of DDR-3 memory, 64 GB SSD, 750 GB HD, 1 serial port, 2 Gig-E Ethernet ports.  The system has 4 dedicated Gig-E Vision ports for connection to a family of cameras ranging in size from VGA to 16 megaPixel.

PVS-80 Standard Configuration Chassis

PPT Vision's Development Software combined with Phoenix Imaging's PVS-80 image processor and high-speed cameras have all the features of a full-scale machine vision system with a much shorter project development time.  All systems are fully configurable for a broad range of applications using the Impact Software, a powerful and versatile programming toolkit that delivers advanced inspection capabilities through its two software components - Vision Program Manager (VPM) and Control Panel Manager (CPM). The superior power and sophistication of the Impact Software, together with the full line of smart camera systems, define a new level of performance in the machine vision industry today.
