25 years of Machine Vision Applications
and Product Development!
Phoenix Imaging is a developer of hardware and software used in machine vision
applications. The company was established in 1985 by it's President and founder
Gerald Budd. The initial focus of the company was to perform engineering studies to
determine the feasibility of using machine vision to perform automatic inspection.
As the company grew it added the ability to provide solutions from simple components and software to complete
turn-key installations. There are not many companies with the machine
vision experience that Phoenix Imaging can provide. This is one of the
oldest companies in the machine vision industry.
The core team members are affiliated with the following organizations:
American Society of Quality (ASQ)
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE),
Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME),
Machine Vision Association (MVA), and
Automated Imaging Associations (AIA)
Phoenix Imaging and the organizations listed above strive to improve quality in their
