New SHARP IV-S51M series
Machine Vision Controllers

Latest Revision of Sharp Machine Vision Hardware & Set-up Software

Phoenix Imaging has been selling and installing Sharp Machine Vision Products since 1993.  We are the most experienced Sharp vision system group in North America1.

Phoenix Imaging now stocks the next generation of Sharp compact machine vision systems.  This product is designed for low cost general purpose machine vision applications.  The IV-S51M series includes many features not found on competitive machine vision systems.

The new generation IV-S51M controller provides a versatile Windows™ CE operator interface that is extremely easy to navigate.  The system is set-up using a "Menu Tree" and also provides an optional "set-up Wizard" to guide the user through system configuration.  The interface is a 8.4" flat panel display with built-in touch screen capability.  The user can use the touch screen or simply plug in a USB mouse.

The operator interface is very easy to navigate and allows parameters to be changed simply by clicking on the item of interest.

This is truly the next generation compact machine vision system.  It supports two (standard & double-speed) progressive scan cameras, 32 line digital I/O, a built-in PLC, calculator function and SVGA analog and digital monitor outputs.  The system communicates with RS-232, RS422, Ethernet, and USB ports.

The product is available in either IVS or PVS versions.  The IV-S51 can be easily installed by system integration firms or experienced end-users.  The PVS-50-M1 model is a preconfigured in a NEMA-4 (IP-55) enclosure with power supplies and digital I/O modules (user specifies type).

1 - Phoenix Imaging introduced the IV-S20 compact machine vision system to the US market in June 1999.  It has sold and installed every version of the Sharp machine vision products available.
