Beam splitter illumination technology has been available for over hundred years.
Usually, on-axis illumination systems are available in a small format <100 mm x
100 mm is size. However, many applications require the uniform illumination of a
much larger area. The 2100 series illumination system by Phoenix Imaging is designed
specifically with that purpose in mind. The illuminator provides a useable field of
view of up to 8" x 8" in "white" light. Our unique illumination system
utilizes a precision controlled high frequency (~50 KHz) power supply for ultra-stable
output for extended periods of time. The "white" light illumination is
idea for color imaging applications critical low-contrast monochrome imaging.
Standard LFOA sizes include 4" x 4", 6" x 6", and 8"
x 8" of active light area. Large versions can be special ordered.
